Optioal Material Components

Postby J.C. » Sun Mar 05, 2017 7:51 pm

C Mage p135

I am wondering, is it possible to use any or all of these extra components while enchanting or making(Crafting) an item?

I am thinking that by the addition of the required component applied to the specific spell while Crafting an item the meta-magic ability of that specific component could be applied to the item.

While I think I read somewhere that meta-magic couldn't be applied to an item, I really don't remember if it was asked if it could be done this way.

So, here I ask...

Thank you for your support :)

Anyone wanting to add the effects of a Meta Magic Feat to a magic item needs to possess that Meta magic feat and the cost of the item creation would be related to the specific effect.
