So working on a Halfling Mounted combatant build. To work out the best survivability for the mount and the rider, I've come up with the following build based upon DM feedback about the Halfing Outrider's Mount Feature .

Level.. Ranks in Ride.. Class and Level in class.. BAB.. Fort.. Ref.. Will .. Class Special.. (Feat taken)
R= Ranger. . P= Paladin .. WPO= Wild Plains Outrider.. HO= Halfling Outrider

1 Ride:4 R1 +1 ... +2 +2 +0... 1st favored enemy, Track, wild empathy Mounted Combat
2 Ride:5 R2 +2... +3 +3 +0 ... Combat style (Two Weapon Fighting)

Another option is Straight Druid But that doesn't get any of the Pally mods and doesn't make the most of a few other bits.. It does however leave the idea to focus less on Melee and more on being Mobile Ranged.
