The house is known for jewelry; while House Massalan has its fair share of crafters, a sizeable amount of its jewelry-based income comes from trade, imports, and speculation, tying together to form the bulk of jewelry-based trade. Despite Waterdeep’s more recent hardships, the house is still doing very well for itself, despite its image as many of its members being flamboyant and somewhat eccentric.

Other Notes Regarding Waterdeep's Noble Houses
All noble houses are listed in the Noble Houses of Waterdeep Web Enhancement for the City of Splendors: Waterdeep, and a few are written on in depth in the City of Splendors: Waterdeep book. The noble families within Waterdeep are all human houses, and the majority of their members are human. House agents may be of other races if they are suitable to be hired for the house in question, but overall the houses have a strong preference toward humans.
