Welcome to the New Site

Hey folks,

Thanks to ddream, Ian and Raina we now have the new site up and running. The port over seems to be going really well although there are a few things that you need to know.

First, you need to make a new account here on the new D20 drupal site. This account gives you access to both the D20 game and he World of Darkness game. So you DO NOT need two different accounts now.

Second, the characters are not transfered over to your account yet. Do not panic. They are still in SCORES they are just in Limbo until we get them reassigned to you. In order for this to happen you need to click on the SCORES login link. This will associate your login with the SCORES system so we can see your login. The next step is to talk with me or one of the other DM's about it and we will get your characters linked up.

There are still some things that need worked out but things are going well. If you do find a bug of some kind please post it in the forums. However, make sure to be very clear about the nature of the problem. Copy and paste any error text you get also because without this ddream cannot even start to track down the problem.

I think thats it. Welcome to the new site and please make sure to thank ddream, Ian and Raina.

Want a game made of your character?

Postby DmDrow » Fri Nov 10, 2006 2:02 am

That is right folks. I Rei (The girl playing Liltree, I am sure you've seen/heard me about.) am in need of some practice with the Aurora engine (The game engine used to create Neverwinter Nights by Bioware.) and seeing as how much I love you all I am willing to practice on you... Run my piglets... Run. ^_^

So here is the scoop: You pm me something like "Would it be alright for you to make a game based on my character's journey through the woods in search for his family's ancient sword?"

After you and I discuss a few things (Setting, Scheduling, Npcs, general plot, etc.) I get ta crackin on yer game. When all is complete I send it to you via email (As I don't trust the net enough to upload my modules.) after that the game is yours to do with as you please. (GIVE me credit ofcourse.)

Now, since I am using the Neverwinter Night's game to make your module you will NEED the game (Neverwinter Nights, Shadows of Undertide, and Hordes of the Underdark) for you to play the module. I shan't give you the game as that is HIGHLY illegal. I am a game designer after all. ^_^

The module will be short, a few hours of play the most, but at least you'll have a neat little thing to call your own. I can always add more to the module once it is done and send you updates. The more you pester me the better it will be.

Now, seeing as it is based on your character you will have to bare with me on some level. I can either: (A) Make the character as a premade character that you MUST play with or (B) you make the character and play the game. The choice is yours and seeing that I can indeed make characters that are just like you it shouldn't be too hard.

Ok then there's the skinny. PM me the request and let me know anything ya need that I didn't answer in here.

The Band Played Waltzing Matilda

When I was a young man I carried my pack
And I lived the free life of the rover.
From the Murray's green basin to the dusty outback
I waltzed my Matilda all over.
Then in nineteen fifteen the country said, "Son,
It's time to stop rambling, there's work to be done."
And they gave me a tin hat and they gave me a gun,
And they marched me away to the war.
And the band played Waltzing Matilda
As our ship pulled away from the quay,
And amidst all the cheers, flag-waving and tears
We sailed off to Gallipoli.

And how well I remember that terrible day,
How our blood stained the sand and the water.
And of how in that hell that they call Suvla Bay
We were butchered like lambs at the slaughter.
Johnny Turk he was waiting, he primed himself well,
He showered us with bullets, and he rained us with shell,
And in five minutes flat he'd blown us all to hell,
Nearly blew us right back to Australia.
But the band played Waltzing Matilda,
As we stopped to bury our slain.
We buried ours, and the Turks buried theirs,
Then we started all over again.

Now those that were left, well, we tried to survive
In that mad world of blood, death and fire.
And for ten weary weeks I kept myself alive,
But around me, the corpses piled higher.
Then a big Turkish shell knocked me arse over head,
And when I woke up in me hospital bed
And saw what it had done, well, I wished I was dead.
Never knew there was worse things than dying.
For I'll go no more Waltzing Matilda
All around the green bush far and free,
To hump tent and pegs, a man needs both legs,
No more Waltzing Matilda for me.

So they gathered the crippled, the wounded, the maimed,
And they shipped us back home to Australia.
The armless, the legless, the blind and insane,
Those proud wounded heroes of Suvla.
And as our ship pulled into Circular Quay
I looked at the place where me legs used to be,
And thanked Christ there was nobody waiting for me,
To grieve and to mourn and to pity.
But the band played Waltzing Matilda
As they carried us down the gangway.
But nobody cheered, they just stood and stared,
Then they turned all their faces away.

And so now every April I sit on my porch
And I watch the parade pass before me.
And I see my old comrades, how proudly they march,
Reviving old dreams of past glory.
And the old men marched slowly, all bones stiff and sore,
They're tired old heroes from a forgotten war,
And the young people ask,"What are they marching for?",
And I ask meself the same question.
But the band plays Waltzing Matilda,
And the old men still answer the call.
But as year follows year, more old men disappear,
Someday no one will march there at all.

Waltzing Matilda, waltzing Matilda,
Who'll come a-waltzing Matilda with me ?
And their ghosts may be heard as they march by the billabong,
Who'll come a-waltzing Matilda with me ?

For the fallen, lost, but never forgotten.

"When you go home, tell them today. That we gave our tomorrow. For you to have today."

Plain Black

Style, not colors

Here are a couple of ideas. Be nice when you tell me that they suck, please.
Helping to lessen our dependency on the funereal industrial complex.
