Part 7, likely the last one, is scheduled for Tuesday 10/25 at 8pm CDT.

As noted in the scene, you are all free to RP on-location with one another. (If you do, just let me know the gist of what happens/is discussed.) The settlement is quiet at this point, and the fog is lifting, so you have some opportunity to go explore the clearing should you decide to do so.

If you would prefer to post some actions in the forum here for between-scenes resolution, feel free to do that as well. Either way, the finale will go a little faster (with more time for stuff to happen!) if you let me know ahead of time what your plans are from here.

So we didn't quite get finished last night. Part 8 is set for Tuesday, 11/1 at 8pm CDT. As before, you may RP on-location between scenes, just let me know what happens. Meanwhile, based on plans made before we ended last night's scene, the following occurs during downtime.

Producing Corpsespeak Oil: Callistar and Inacio go to work in refining the corpseweed harvested from the elven graveyard. Inacio's best guess is that they need to produce roughly twenty-five drams of refined powder for use in animating Escolan's brain for a conversation.

Rellither Escolan's lab is sparse but well-apportioned with the basics, and after some searching, Callistar finds the elf even left behind some notes on how to use the kit's limited resources and some pre-mixed solutions to accelerate the process. Unfortunately, Inacio still figures it'll be four or five days to complete the oil--between drying the weed without burning it, treating it with the appropriate chemicals for full absorption, then suspending the mixture in Escolan's premade colloidal base, it can't go much faster without risking failure.

(Craft (alchemy) works only so fast unless you want to put yourselves at the mercy of dice. If you do, it can be made faster, but it's hella-risky.

Prepping Oil Casks: Daethan continues moving the oil casks over to the cave entrance. There are three in total with anything left in them--one still two-thirds full and the others nearly empty. If he chose, Daethan could consolidate them all into one nearly-full cask, which he figures gives the party around 25 gallons of heavy lantern oil to work with.

The woody, red-black roots strung through the tunnels below are fairly dry, and should burn well, though the burbling of the stream echoing up from below can't help but remind Daethan that the body of the plant is still down that wet pit--and the party has no concept of how large it might be...

The contents of a forthcoming FPM can be inserted here.

Examining the Ruins: In between spells helping Inacio, Callistar walks with Aruka in examining the ruins of purple marble at the base of the old elven camp. He finds himself agreeing with Aruka that it looks to be more of a human construction, and as he looks closely at the inscriptions, he detects two distinct alphabets just as the druid said: one in an old form of Thorass, blocky and primitive, cut over a more intricate, detailed tongue Callistar has never seen.

Comprehend languages readily translates the first language, as its Thorass runes are clearer and more distinct. They depict an ancient tongue that sounds vaguely like Illuskan when read aloud, and are fragments describing a group called the "Yuetshi." As he ponders his old lessons on the history of the North, Callistar can piece together context from the writing to define this as a proto-Illuskan phrase meaning "White Snake," used in reference to an ancient tribe of Uthgardt. Given that most scholars don't reference this tribe in modern writings, Callistar suspects it is extinct and has been for some time.

The more intricate writing, meanwhile, is exceptionally difficult to read in anything but fragments, due not just to the Yuetshi vandalism but also the sheer age, but he might be able to make out some of it with a closer look...

K-History, with a +2 from K-Nature, will help you determine the age of both writing styles. Decipher Script will determine how well you can read it.

So if it's going to take five days for them to prepare that oil, assuming we decide to both do it and wait that long, does that mean we are going to fast forward and if so, am I gonna need to make rolls for delay disease for all those days?

If you decide to wait it out all five days, yes, you'll be making delay disease checks for all those days, and everyone will need to make saves for the days in which that proves ineffective.
